HOT TAR® Habanero Infused Tupelo Honey is a Rare Treat!

Our HOT TAR® Habanero Infused Tupelo Honey is made with 100% pure Tupelo honey and our sustainably-grown chocolate habanero peppers. The combination of the smoky peppers and the delicately-sweet honey creates a wonderful infusion of flavors.

The Tupelo honey used in our HOT TAR® Habanero Infused Tupelo Honey is 100% raw and unfiltered without any artificial ingredients or sweeteners. Tupelo honey is made in the wetlands along south Georgia and north Florida, particularly along the Apalachicola and Ochlockonee rivers.

This rare honey can only be harvested during a few weeks of the year when the Tupelo trees are blooming in the wetlands. Tupelo honey initially has a light color and matures to a darker amber color. It has a mild flavor with a hoppy aroma that makes it one-of-a-kind!

A Biscuit's Best Friend!

HOT TAR® Habanero Infused Tupelo Honey makes an excellent topping for homemade biscuits and other baked goods. Add a dab or spoonful will make those biscuits shine with all the flavors from this infused honey. At 300-350 Scoville, the heat of the chocolate habaneros is noticeable without being overwhelming.

Made with Sustainably-Grown Peppers

The sweet, smoky heat in our HOT TAR® Habanero Infused Tupelo Honey is created using our own sustainably-grown, chocolate habanero peppers. A chocolate-colored variation of the traditional orange habanero pepper, these peppers have a deep flavor profile that you won't find in any other hot pepper. We carefully remove all the membrane and seeds from the peppers so that they provide the best flavor with just the right amount of heat.

The chocolate habanero originated in Jamaica, but we've been growing our own since 1991. We carefully and responsibly maintain our own seed stock to ensure the highest quality fruits year after year. We also grow the peppers with sustainable growing practices, ensuring that no harmful pesticides or other synthetic products are used to grow these delicious hot peppers.
